Today, on Tuesday, September 1, 2020- Sano Paila in partnership with The Britain-Nepal Society
distributed relief packages to vulnerable and needy families in different wards of Birgunj Metropolitan City. Curfew has been imposed in Birgunj for more than a month due to exponentially rise in COVID-19 cases in Birgunj. The curfew has crippled the lives of daily wagers and vulnerable families.
The relief supplies which can support for a month were distributed to 21 families. The relief packages consist of ration materials of 25 kg rice, 2 kg lentil, 2 packets salt, 2-litre cooking oil, 0.5 kg soybean chunks, 2 kg Sugar, 2 kg beans and 1 hand wash soap.
We are very grateful to our partner The Britain-Nepal Society. At a time when everything feels uncertain, we find comfort and encouragement knowing that you care for communities. Similarly, we would like to thank the energetic team members of “Anekta Ma Ekta” for the local coordination.
