Sano Paila is playing an important role by responding in a multi-pronged manner to best serve the needs of the most vulnerable during the 2nd wave of the coronavirus pandemic as well. We’re pleased to share with you the major highlights of our response so far.
As of July 29, we have served more than 12,981 hot meals to daily wagers, members of Dalit communities, and the disadvantaged in Province-2 and other districts of Sudur Pashchim. Assisting the authorities, we have served 2-time meals to 211 COVID-19 patients who are in Home Isolation. We built and donated seven 2 ‘contactless’ COVID-19 Testing Booths to authorities.
We have supported 9 Non-Invasive ventilators and other medical supplies to Narayani Hospital Birgunj. Our Telemedicine facility has provided a free consultation to over 815 patients where a team of two MBBS doctors and five Case Managers are 24 hours dedicated to providing free consultation to the patients over the phone. Similarly, we have moderated 155 COVID cases via the COVID helpline. Similarly, we have distributed relief packages to more than 1,437 families across the nation.
