Sano Paila, in collaboration with Paterwa Sugauli Rural Municipality and the Community-Police Partnership, successfully conducted a session in Paterwa – 5 of Paterwa Sugauli as part of the Action for Drug-Free Communities (ADFC) campaign. The primary goal of the session was to raise awareness among young people about the dangers associated with drug addiction and abuse.

The session was led by Raj Kumar Tamang the Program Coordinator of the School of Recovery and Reformation, along with our Communications Officer, Bibek Karn. They were joined by Dipak Kumar Basnet, an Assistant Sub Inspector of Nepal Police, and Pawan Prasad Kushwaha, an Assistant Sub-Inspector from the Area Police Office in Paterwa Sugauli. Both speakers highlighted the alarming rate at which young individuals are unwittingly falling prey to drug addiction and abuse.

The event was well attended by over 200 students and several community leaders, including Dinesh Chaudhari – the Chief of Paterwa Sugauli Rural Municipality, Mamta Mahato – the Deputy Chief, Basu Pajiyar – the Ward Chairperson, and Ramnarayan Panjiyar – the School Principal.
